This part may be cited as the "Anacostia Waterfront Environmental Standards Act of 2008".

Historical and Statutory

Temporary Enactments D.C. Law 17-53, § 402, added a section to read as follows: "Sec. 402. Environmental standards. "The Mayor shall continue to maintain and apply the environmental standards adopted by the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation Board of Directors on June 1, 2007, to all of the properties, projects, initiatives, and developments within the Anacostia Waterfront Development Zone." Section 702(b) of D.C. Law 17-53 provides that the act shall expire after 225 days of its having taken effect. Legislative History of Laws Law 17-138, the "National Capital Revitalization Corporation and Anacostia Waterfront Corporation Reorganization Act of 2008", was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 17-340 which was referred to the Committee on Economic Development.  The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on December 11, 2007, and January 8, 2008, respectively.   Signed by the Mayor on February 5, 2008, it was assigned Act No. 17-289 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.  D.C. Law 17-138 became effective on March 26, 2008. DC CODE § 2-1226.31 Current through December 11, 2012
