The DC Code: § 2-501 Effect of subchapter.

This subchapter shall supplement all other provisions of law establishing procedures to be observed by the Mayor and agencies of the District government in the application of laws administered by them, except that this subchapter shall supersede any such law and procedure to the extent of any conflict therewith.

Historical and Statutory

Prior Codifications 1981 Ed., § 1-1501. 1973 Ed., § 1-1501. Legislative History of Laws Law 1-19 was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 1-1, which was referred to the Committee of the Whole, the Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Criminal Law. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 3, 1975 and June 20, 1975, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on July 10, 1975, it was assigned Act No. 1-30 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. For legislative history of D.C.
