The DC Code: § 3-516 Prosecutions.

Prosecution for violation of any provision of this subchapter shall be conducted in the name of the District of Columbia in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia by the Corporation Counsel or his or her assistant.
It shall be necessary to prove in any prosecution or hearing under this subchapter only a single act prohibited by law without proving a general course of conduct, in order to constitute a violation.
